Cadets' Annual Summer Cruise. In the North Atlantic on the Coast Guard Cutter ROCKAWAY, Coast Guard cadets are shown holding target balloons. These balloons are inflated with helium gas and released as targets for the 40mm and 20mm guns. The ROCKAWAY accompanies the 3-masted training ship EAGLE on the Coast Guard Cadet Practice Squadron's annual summer cruise to European ports. While at sea the cadets learn scores of tasks in seamanship.
