Crystal Palace dinosaur model. These 19th-century models were sculpted by Benjamin Waterhouse Hawkins, working closely with Joseph Paxton and Richard Owen. They were installed in the world's first dinosaur park, which opened at Crystal Palace Park, London, UK, in 1854. They were based on 19th-century fossil discoveries and knowledge, and the reconstructions include some inaccuracies. This is the Megalosaurus sculpture.
