GLEN COVE, N. Y. Rose Show. The annual show of the Nassau Coun- ty Horticultural Society was held June 11. The exhibits were splendid and aroused keen competition. The feature of the show was the tablS* decoration contest. Robert Jones was awarded first prize; Angus B. McGregor, second; William Milstead, third, and Thomas Henderson, fourth. Awards in the rose section went to J. McCarthy, F. Johnson, J. Sutherland, J. Waite, F. Watson and A. Sheriff. Prizes in outdoor flowers were awarded to E. Harris and A. Stango. Club Meeting. The monthly meeting of the Nassau County Horticultural Society was held on the evening of June 11. President Joseph Adler presided. Ernest West- lake, who had been secretary of the club for the last six years, tendered his resig- nation. Joseph Muler, George E. Bald- win, Arthur Adams, Thomas Wade, Harr}- Baldwin and Dennis Minogue were elected to active membership. The club decided to hold a basket picnic sometime in August.
