Let us grow good seed and boost Wisconsin. Wisconsin seed peas, as marketed by the larger seed houses, continue to be standard for the world. LONGEVITY OF SEEDS. I would like to see a list of the dif- ferent vegetable seeds and the life of each; that is, the length of time they would keep and still germinate, with- out giving them a test each year. Some seeds will keep for years, while others are of little use after the second year. Any information will be welcome. C. L, F.—Ohio. With regard to a printed list which would show the life of different varie- ties of garden seeds, or, in other words, the length of time they will show germi- nation, careful seedsmen usually decline to furmish any lists of this sort to their customers, because they usually are misleading and apt to cause trouble. We understand the U. S. Department of Agriculture has issued a pamphlet, showing the approximate time different varieties of garden seeds should germi- nate under proper conditions and any- one interested might write to the De- partment of Agriculture, Washington, D. C, and get this pamphlet. It may give him some information along that line, but there is only one way to know if seeds will germinate or not, and that is to test them. The larger, careful seedsmen test each and every bag of seed which comes into the store, top, bottom and center, and if the seeds are kept in the store ninety days they test t
