Coconut coir is used to stabilize and revegetate an area along Sauerkraut Creek being restored after damage from gold mining.

During creek bank restoration, a mat of coconut coir is laid down, then a roll of coconut coir is placed on the mat before the mat is folded over the roll and then sealed with dirt. This project was at Sauerkraut Creek near Lincoln, Montana.
