Singapore - October 6, 2018: Madrasah Alsagoff Al-Arabiah, or the Alsagoff Arab School, was established in 1912 by a prominent member of Singapore's Arab Muslim families, Syed Mohamed bin Ahmed Alsagoff. The madrassah or religious school started as a small establishment teaching Islam and Arabic to Singapore's Muslim population. The school is still in operation with an Islamic curriculum in conformity with Singapore's Ministry of Education guidelines.
