English Heritage is behind the fantastic new play areas at Walmer Castle and Gardens. Whilst the property's grounds have always been a great place for kids to let off steam - the new arrivals together with now two on-site cafes for refreshments - make this an ideal place to play. Young visitors can enjoy climbing into hollow tree trunks and giant nests, crossing wobbly bridges, conquering climbing nets and gazing up through the trees on leaf-shaped sky seats. And as you move around the trail there is the chance to learn a little about the wildlife by spotting sculptures of woodland birds.
