Alhambra Avenue Overhead Crossing. At Alhambra avenue, on the new shore line cut-off, be-tween Los Angeles and Pasadena, a 4-span plate girder via-duct was built to afford an overhead crossing of Alhambraavenue and the Southern Pacific Railroad tracks. Thegirders support a reinforced concrete floor with side wallsand ballast strips for keeping the ballast in place. The con-crete floor rests directly upon the track girders and is dappedabout two inches over the girders to prevent lateral motion. Culverts and Under Crossings for Highways.
