An Ottoman flintlock pistol,circa 1800. Two-stage barrel,octagonal breech section then round after a chiselled girdle,and with with a cannon muzzle,smooth bore in mm calibre. Fine engraving and Ottoman mark above the breech. Engraved flintlock with pseudo-signature on the lockplate. The walnut stock carved with vines and flowers,silver encrusted iron mountings. The grip with fine silver wire inlays and silver butt cap. Length 42 cm.
