Two ladies promote Hong Kong in London's Chinatown during the Chinese New Year celebrations.
London’s Chinatown puts on a good show for Chinese New Year. There are masses of red and gold lanterns and banners strung overhead. You can buy Chinese foods, toys, knick-knacks, clothing and medicinal cures. Many of the restaurants in the area offer special deals on Chinese New Year feasts. Twelve courses for a knock-down price, “including famous Peking Duck”. All this attracts thousands of people. The area inside the traditional Chinese gates to Chinatown is extremely crowded and just walking from one end of Gerrard Street to the other takes ages.
