A Marine from India Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, greets his family after graduating from recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, March 11. Following graduation, Marines are given 10 days of leave before taking the next step in training at the School of Infantry at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego.
