Errol Walton Barrow was the first Prime Minister of Barbados who was in possession of a political career which spanned over a thirty-six (36) year period. This 'Father of Independence' made a profound impact on the political, social and physical landscape of Barbados and in recognition of his contribution to the progression of the island, a statue was unveiled in his honour.
