Green turtle (Chelonia mydas) swimming over the seabed. This is a large marine turtle, which can reach over 150 centimetres in length and weigh over 200 kilograms. It is exclusively herbivorous, feeding on aquatic plants. Like all reptiles it breathes air, and the females lay their eggs on land. Apart from this it is entirely aquatic. It inhabits tropical and subtropical coastal seas throughout the world. Photographed off Sipadan, Malaysia.
