EAST HORNDON, England—Capt. John Williams, 351st Air Refueling Squadron, salutes following a wreath laying at a commemoration service Sept. 29, 2012, at the Church of All Saints. This service was to commemorate the 69th anniversary of the Sept. 26, 1943, air disaster involving the Dorsal Queen and Raunchy Wolf. The two B-17 Flying Fortresses collided killing 21 Americans who were returning to England following a bombing mission during World War II. Airmen assigned to RAF Mildenhall were invited to the ceremony to present a wreath in honor of the deceased.
