Sow peppers in hot-bed in April, and transplant to open ground when danger of frost is over ; or they may be sown in open ground when it is safe. Red Cluster Pepper. Bears a profusion of red clusters of very pungent pep- pers in an upright position. It forms a small, compact plant about a foot high. Price : pkt., 10 cts. Sweet Spanish Pepper. One of the earliest kinds in cultivation. It is mild flavored and sweet; one of the best. Price: pkt., 10 cts. Mammoth Sunflower. It forms an IMMENSE HEAD, and yields a large amount of valuable grain to feed to poul- try. It will grow and thrive anywhere, but does best on good warm, very rich land, heavily manured in the hill.
