Stone-sculpted Yukimi-doro Lantern Standing by Lake Tazawa in Autumn

Located just south of Towada-Hachimantai National Park, in Semboku, Akita Prefecture, northern Japan, Lake Tazawa (田沢湖)(Tazawako) is a scenic caldera lake that has not been overly developed and retains a natural and rustic atmosphere. It is the deepest lake in Japan (the maximum depth is m). Because of its depth, it never freezes.
