Church built in 1831-3 and paid for by the Rev. William Carus Wilson. The two West Windows, by Henry Holiday, depict the Creation. Wording on the top section of the West, North side window reads:- "The EVENING & the MORNING WERE the FOURTH DAY". "AND GOD SAID Let there be Lights in the Firmament of Heaven". The wording on the second section from the top reads:- "O ye Sun and Moon, Bless ye the Lord, Praise Him and magnify Him forever". The third section from the top reads:- "The EVENING & the MORNING WERE the FIFTH Day. AND GOD SAID Let the Waters bring forth the moving creature that hath life". The fourth section from the top reads:- "O ye Seas and Floods, Bless ye the LORD, Praise Him, magnify Him for ever".The fifth section from the top reads:- "THE EVENING & the MORNING WERE the SIXTH DAY. AND GOD SAID let US make Man In Our Own Image". The bottom section of the window reads:- "O all ye Children of Men, Bless ye the Lord, Praise Him and magnify Him for ever". These designs for the West windows in Casterton Church were first used in Grace Church, Utica, USA and also in the West windows of Southwark Cathedral, London.
