From a gay male couple tying the knot next to a bursting geyser to a lesbian pair being married by an Icelandic sea captain, Europe’s most gay-friendly nation is opening its arms to pink-wedding tourism. Britons of all sexualities have become Iceland’s number one tourist nationality, with 163,000 visiting so far this year, up by 32-percent on 2013. Same sex couples from the UK looking to elope can expect to pay between £800 to £1,200 for a wedding planner, venue, transport and legal costs.
