Carnations have been good, but the cuts are not up to the records of previous seasons. Sweet peas are in good demand for corsage work. Violets are quite plentiful; the demand is about as usual. Bulbous stock is much in evidence, although narcissi are about done. Tulips are fine and the demand is good. Murillo is coming in <juite plentifully now and stems have improved of late. Daflfodils also are plentiful, with good! demand. Pot plants are selling well, mostly azaleas and bulbous stock, with a sprinkling of ferns and fern dish stock. Various Notes. Lloyd Woodrow, son of G. H. Wood- row, attended the inauguration at Washington. Mr. Woodrow, who has been seriously ill, is slowly conva- lescing. J, M. Ohittenango, N. Y.—A. R. Ellis, who started here five years ago without previous experience in the business, has had such good success that he has doub- led his original plant and is think- ing of building four or five houses 21x150.
