Corrected, improved, and very much enlarged .. by John Strype, MA, a native also of the said city", London, printed for A. Churchill, J. Knapton, R. Knaplock, J. Walthoe, E. Horne, B. Tooke, D. Midwinter, B. Cowse, R. Robinson, and , MDCCXX. Type: Copperplate engraved map. This fabulous map shows the area around Old Street, including Shoreditch & Hoxton. The cluster of streets in the lower left hand corner shows that part of Old Street between Goswell Road and the City Road; Golden Lane, Chiswell Street and Whitecross Street are shown. Other features include Upper Moorfields, Bunhill Fields & Tenter Ground. Shoreditch High Street is marked along the right hand edge of the map, and Hoxton Square is shown near the top of the map, to the right of the title cartouche.
