Hitherto the great objection to Chrysanthemums in our Northern States was that the frost destroyed most of the flowers before commg to maturity, but now this difficulty is overcome as these perfect their blooms during September anu October, and this grand advance must â¢urely give an impetus to Chrysanthemum culture hither- to unknown. \\ e are indebted to M of France, for this new departure, and it is doubtful if any more valuable acquisition has been secured in the long annals of successful hybridization. Alfred de Montebello. Large flowered Japane^ e ; petals recurved, outlined in corkscrew ; silvery white with tinge of rose, centre largely gold color; a pretty variety. Baron Veillard.
