5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (May 27, 2017) Culinary Specialist Seaman Lucas Adams cuts the cake for a luau to celebrate Asian-American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month (AAPIHM) on the mess decks of the guided-missile destroyer USS Truxtun (DDG 103). Truxtun is part of the George Bush Carrier Strike Group deployed in the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners, preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
