An etched German helmet, circa 1600. A close helmet, completely etched with trefoils and stripes. The skull was forged in one piece and has a corded comb, a plume socket riveted in back, and a two lame neck protector set with rivets. Two-piece movable visor with eye slits and ventilation holes on one side. The bevor fastens with a hook and has a gorget with turned under edges.
