New needles are seen on the yew "Henryk" tree (in Polish: Cis Henryk) in Henrykow yew "Henryk" is a tree of the species Taxus baccata, which is the oldest tree in Poland. In the literature, his age is estimated differently: 1200, 1300 and even 1500 years. In 2016, work was undertaken to improve the condition of the tree. The roots of the tree were protected against rodents, a special scaffolding was built, sprinklers and foggers were installed. These actions allowed the tree to survive in harsh weather conditions. In 2020, the tree sprouted new shoots and needles.
