The cat was on a shelf, andjumped off at periods to one of the girls. One girl stoppedwork and gave the cat to the next girl, and then passed itall around. This gave the girls a rest of two or three min-utes Then the cat went hack to her place. This time hadsufficient to stop the accumulation of the fatiguepoisons. This rest of two or three minutes made all thedifference in the world, and all trouble ceased. The cat re-mained, and did not have to come hack. t •.
