The wholesalers are bunching up — a good thing. The Beauties now arriving from the Arma- cost range at Sawtelle are extra fine. Walter Polder, of Polder Bros., Montebello, was married recently to Miss Jessie Hoekstra. Mrs. Polder was a Chicago girl who came out some time ago and then went back, but the load- stone in sunny California was too strong. Albert Knopf, of the Eedondo Flo- ral Co., writes that he is having a good time in the east. Mr. Knopf has been visiting his old home town, Columbus, O.', and other towns where the name of Knopf is not altogether dissociated with the flower business. In the mean- time, F, Borden is holding down the stand and, as the days are getting shorter, putting in less time growing vegetables. The high cost of garden- ing will not worry him much more this season. J. W. Wolters' store always looks a little "different" from any other store on account of the great variety of stock he brings in from the Holly- wood ranch. Mr. Wolters has reached San Francisco on his homeward trip from the east. Everyone seems busy at the store of the California Cut Flower Co. The stock handled is fine. Good requests continue to arrive at the L. A. Floral Co. store, with re- gard to long-distance shipments. Some of these shipments went as far as Minnesota.
