LTntil within the past two years, the subjectof this sketch was quite active in Republicanpolitics, and has been conspicuous in his advo-cacy of the consolidation of the Bay after his retirement from the wholesalegrocery business, he was elected mayor of WestBay City. Their system of retrenchment reducedthe floating debt to about $40,000, settled theinterest account and liquidated most of theclaims against the city, outside of the bondedindebtedness. Mr. Walsh has three sons, all residents ofWest Bay City, namely: Harry J., a retailgrocer; Arthur G., a produce commission deal-er; and Frank A., who has the State agencyfor the Seal of Minnesota flour, with head-quarters at Cleveland, Ohio. \PT.
