Cardiff nurse Jo Potter has won an award for her outstanding contribution to military nursing while on a tour of duty in Afghanistan. As well as providing sexual health care, she volunteered for shifts in the field hospital’s ICU and emergency units. She has been awarded the first ever Glover Prize for reservist of the year. Potter works for Cardiff and Vale NHS trust as a clinical nurse specialist in HIV.
