Alice in a forest with the White Knight upside down beside her, having fallen off his horse. Alice Through the Looking Glass.

One of the iconic illustrations by Sir John Tenniel from Lewis Carrol's Through the Looking Glass And What Alice Found There (1878). The image was engraved by the Dalziel Brothers in their London studio; in a good quality scan you should be able to see their signature as well as the monogram for the artist, Sir John Tenniel.
