The cross stands on a hexagonal stem of silver,molded and chased with a pattern of lozenges, and springingfrom it are two carved arms of silver, decorated with bandsof colored enamels interrupted by roundels of mother-of-pearlframed in silver. These arms support two figures of wingedangels of silver in flowing garments and with outstretched knop is of a flattened spherical shape, pierced in a patternof flamboyant Gothic tracery, and having, around the center,lozenge-shaped facets of chased silver overlaid with translucentcolored enamel. The base is hexagonally lobed with enameledmedallions of figures of Saints, the vertical edges being piercedin a simple arcaded pattern. Heigh t. 2 •> inches.(Illustrated). No. 82. The square body is Hanked by two squarebuttresses with five courses of pierced Gothic arcadings sepa-rated by molded string-courses and surmounted by pointedHeches. The pointed gable top is enriched by a crocketed mold-ing and surmounted by a cross, the triangular tympanum beingdecorated with a boldly engraved representation of Christ ina vesica-shaped nimbus surrounded by cherubim and supportedby two angels in flowing robes blowing trumpets.
