Troon Scotland Sea Front & Landmarks
Troon in south Ayrshire is home to the Royal Troon golf course, which hosts the Open Golf Championship here in Scotland. The town with its many golf courses and long sandy south bay beach is home to many sports personates and celebrities while attracting holiday makers from all over to this coastal holiday resort. Like many west of Scotland coastal resorts liked my Scot Rail that takes you back to Paisley or right into the heart of Glasgow. Troon with its freight services and yacht marina, has many schools, shops and steeped in local history with plenty to see and a great place if you like a long walk along the beach.
