Atlas moth. View of the upper side of an Atlas moth (Attacus atlas). This large species of silkmoth is found in the tropical and subtropical forests of Southeast Asia, and is also common across the Malay archipelago. Atlas moths are considered the largest moths in the world in terms of total wing surface area. This specimen has a wingspan of 21cm.
