Obama (小浜市 Obama-shi) is a city in Fukui Prefecture, Japan. It faces Wakasa Bay due north of Kyoto, and is about four to seven hours by train from Tokyo. As of October 1, 2005, the city has an estimated population of 32,185 and a population density of persons per km². The total area is km².
