We drove through the townone recent May morning and were im-pressed with its size, clean appearance andbeautiful architecture. All the buildings—commercial and domestic—are of theMediterranean type with white stucco wallsand red tile roofs. Possibly a little toomuch white and red and not enough ofsome other color. Perhaps, as one writerargues, it will be better when the staringwhite is aged and mellowed by time, wind, rain and sun. Perhaps some pastel shadesof blue, yellow and green, might help torelieve the monotony. Surely the experi-ment would do no harm and might provejust the thing to climax an otherwise per-fect setting.
