The entrance fee for a chaste girl is a bushelof clean rice, a fowl, about a gallon of palm oil and, whenprocurable, one handkerchief and a bottle of rum. If thegirl is unchaste, a country cloth will suffice ; but aftermedicinal washing every girl must pay the value of a headof money ^^^3. The Bundu session is generally heldduring the rice season.
