Early morning in Abernethy Forest
A gentle mist hangs through the Scots pines early on a spring morning. The ground beneath the trees is carpeted with heather and blaeberries (bilberries). The Abernethy Forest is the largest remaining section of the Great Wood of Caledon which once covered most of Scotland.
