A percussion pistol, Klawitter in Herzberg, circa 1830. A heavy octagonal, twist Damascus barrel with microgroove rifling in 14 mm calibre. Dovetailed brass front sight, adjustable rear sight. There is a gold-inlaid signature "Klawitter in Herzberg" on top of the barrel, with gold-filled marks between inlaid scroll decorations behind it. Finely engraved tang.
