(February 7, 2018) Naval Air Station (NAS) Whidbey Island's Federal Fire and Emergency Services Department responds to a burning helicopter trainer as part of the Navy's annual anti-terrorism exercise Solid Curtain-Citadel Shield (SC-CS). The helicopter trainer was set ablaze as part of a simulated terrorist attack. SC-CS Solid Curtain/Citadel Shield is an anti-terrorism and force protection exercise conducted by Navy installations within the continental United States to ensure that the Navy is ready to respond to changing and dynamic threats at all times.
