Philemon and Baucis. After a work by British artist Walter Crane used in A Wonder Book for Girls and Boys, by Nathaniel Hawthorne in an edition published in Boston, 1910. Philemon and Baucis were a married couple featured in a fable by Roman writer Ovid.
