A silver-mounted German stoneware jug, probably Hanau, 2nd half of the 19th century Bulbous, possibly older(?) jug made from nicely speckled, Rhenisch stoneware. Lavishly worked silver mounting, late Renaissance style with rich, hammered fruit decorations and band work. Hinged lid with pierced thumb lever. On the mounting of the handle engraved "Wera". No hallmark.
