Game rangers in the Kruger National Park are working to protect the animals and environment against wildlife criminal syndicates in South Africa

Carnivore Conservation Programme Field Officer for the Endangered Wildlife Trust, Marnus Roodbol stops to search for a signal of tagged lions that were relocated from the south of the Kruger National Park to the northern areas of the park. The project is a partnership between the Endangered Wildlife Trust, South African National Parks (SANParks), National Administration of Conservation Areas in Mozambique (ANAC), and the Peace Parks Foundation. The project seeks to protect lions from increasing threat by humans who hunt and poison the cats to sell their body parts in the illicit lion bones trade. The Great Limpopo Transfrontier Conservation Area (GLTFCA) which includes the Kruger National Park (KNP) in South Africa, and Limpopo National Park (LNP) in Mozambique is one of the 10 last remaining strongholds of lions in Africa.
