About 45 scales in a lotigiluilinal series, 14 in a transverse series ; ventral scutes 15 + 9. Dorsal 17 ; origin above base of pelvics, equidistant Ironi end of snout and base of caudal. Annl 21. Caudal peduncle longer than deep. Nigeria. A single specimen, 130 mm. in total length, from Agberi, SoQlliern Nigeria. This new species is distinguished from C. ansorgii by the more slender form, fewer gill-rakers, and more numerous anal rays. 2. Cytiothrissa ansorgii. Fellonula vorax (part.), Bouleng. Cat. Afr.
