This is claimed to be a per])etual bloomer ; color violet-crimson ; of medium size and very prettily mossed. 15 cts. Hints on Culture. The Sloss Roses all, as a rule, require close pruning and high culture ; give them a very rich soil. If they should show any signs of mildew in spring or summer, sprinkle the foliage with water and then dust it with soot or sulphur, and continue this treatment until the roses begin healthful growth. In autumn mildew is not dangerous and may be disre- garded. As Moss roses are especially ]>rized for their buds, these should be cut when just beginning to open, in early morning, with the dew still on them, and placed in water, were they will remain perfect a long while.
