Kinorhynch worm. Coloured scanning electron micrograph (SEM) of an unidentified kinorhynch worm (phylum Kinorhyncha). Kinorhynchs are segmented marine worms which live in sediments on the ocean floor. They move through the sediment using the head (upper right) as an anchor, pulling the body after it. Kinorhynchs feed on microscopic algae and bacteria. Magnification: x107 at 6x7cm size. x175 at 4x5ins
