The rehoming centre is keen to spur on the national team for SaturdayÕs game against England so have named a bouncy scrummage of six adorable Husky Labrador cross puppies after their Welsh heroes. The playful eight week old pups have been named Sam Pawburton, Gethin Puppykins, Alun Wyn Bones, Luke Charterrieris and Toby Furletau. The team was brought into Dogs Trust Bridgend through no fault of their own as their owners were no longer able to care for them. While they may not be off to Twickenham on the weekend one thing they do have in common is the desire to find their perfect match in a sport-loving home. These rugby loving pooches are desperate to find loving new homes where they can play endless games of chase. The playful pups canÕt resist bounding after a ball and a rugby ball is always their favourite. They are especially looking forward to cheering on Wales with their canine carers on the weekend. Beverley Price, Dogs Trust Bridgend rehoming centre Manager, says: ÒThese mischievous little pups are full of energy so will need active owners with a strong throw to keep them entertained. They are only eight weeks old and like any rugby team would benefit from a little extra training. The team requires active homes with owners who appreciate the demands of energetic young puppies and are at home most of the day to help them settle in. They would need homes with secure gardens to bound around in and would of course love a rugby ball to play with. The pups will be required to attend Dogs Trust training classes to help them become polite, well-adjusted adult are super little dogs who would make the perfect pets in the right homes with committed owners who appreciate a do
