There is a more serious side to thequestion, and that is the loss of prop-erty and sometimes life due to thecareless handling of fire. Just recallthe many newspaper accounts of firesattributed to a smoldering cigarbutt or a carelessly thrown at the furniture in any publicplace or hotel.
