A Walloon sword Amsterdam, circa 1650. Broad cutting blade, the short fullers inscribed "Me fecit Salingen" surmounted by large wolf marks. The obverse struck with a crown/"P", the reverse with an Amsterdam city mark. Iron hilt with symmetrical guard plates (the one on the reverse replaced), grip of later date with wire winding and heavy onion-shaped pommel. Leather scabbard of later date with iron mounts.
