American Military Artist Captain J. Andre Smith's official drawing from August 1918 shows the destroyed Bridge at Dormans, which was demolished by the French during the retreat in June. The drawing depicts the engineer troops already repairing the bridge only a few days after the Germans' retreat from the Marne. This image bears the 111-SC-25080 photograph number and was received on November 4, 1918. It was later issued and passed by the censor on November 30, 1918.
