Kentucky Agribusiness Development Team II members, Army Spc. Justin Allen (left), a London, Ky., native, and Army Sgt. Nicholas Combs, a Corbin, Ky., native, get to know a lamb at a local farm in Anaba District, Feb. 9. The ADT II will examine more than 120 pregnant sheep in Panjshir province, taking fecal samples, age estimates, and famacha, or level of infection, and body condition scores. The fecal samples will be sent to a partner veterinarian at Bagram Air Field to determine the type and quantity of parasite eggs present in the pregnant sheep.
