Tarso-metatarsal Amputation (Lisfrancs).—The in-cision for this amputation is a curved one carried acrossthe dorsum of the foot from the base of the fifth to thebase of the first metatarsal bone (Fig. 414, A). The in-cision should involve the skin only, its centre lying halfan inch or more below the centre of the line of the articu-lations, and it should begin and end at the sides of thefoot at their junction with the sole.
